about

So, this came about while I was trying to do remixes of tracks from the Tron Legacy soundtrack without all my VSTs and plugins. Do to the lack of software, I ended up with something really raw. I wrote it after arguing about ethics and morality with a friend of mine from high school, mostly over how he'd mostly turned his back on everything we had known to be right and just didn't seem to care anymore. Ironically, he loved the song, and ended up recording a cover of it at one point.

lyrics

I know why you're doing that
You're being that, oh
I know that this apathy is just a fact
This materialism's come to get us now
Oh I know, I know, I know

That you don't care anymore
It ain't worth fighting for
You don't care anymore
You're laying down your sword

credits

from The End of All Things, released December 3, 2014
Brittany Clemons wrote the first verse. Or rather, I borrowed it from a song I was going to produce for her but was never finished.
